Sushil Kumar Sharma Sapkota has been practicing law as an advocate since 2011. He is an expert in criminal and constitutional law and is also a member of the Supreme Court Bar.

He is a permanent resident of Mechinagar, Jhapa, and currently resides in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality–08, Kathmandu. He has completed his Master’s degree in Political Science from Tribhuvan University and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB).

Sapkota has been raising questions regarding the performance of the judiciary, constitutional interpretation, and legal practice, advocating for reforms. He has published numerous articles and has also given interviews on various national television platforms.

In his active legal career, Sapkota has established four landmark legal precedents (Najir), one of which relates to the jurisdiction of military courts. He has also set a precedent stating that property cannot be transferred through contracts alone. Sapkota believes that law should be easily accessible to the public and has been vocal about the need for judicial reform.

While specializing in criminology and constitutional law, Sapkota is easily approachable in matters related to legal disputes or service-related issues. He is particularly active in advocating for the poor, helpless, underprivileged, and marginalized communities, working to expand their access to justice.
